If you've ever worked with embroidery machines, you know the frustration. You have a design file on your phone, you want to quickly check the stitch count or see how the colors look — and there's simply no good mobile app to do it. Existing tools are either desktop-only, paid beyond reason, or just barely functional.

That's what pushed me to build Embrocad.

What is Embrocad?

Embrocad is a mobile embroidery design viewer and toolkit, built from the ground up for Android. It's designed for embroiderers who work with machine embroidery files daily — whether you're digitizing, ordering designs, or running an embroidery business.

What can it do?

Here's what's coming at launch:

  • Open embroidery files — DST, JEF, EXP, PES, VP3, XXX, and more. Just tap a file and it opens.
  • Stitch-by-stitch playback — watch your design stitch out in real time, just like a machine would sew it.
  • Thread color list — see every color in the design with its catalog details.
  • Design info — stitch count, color count, dimensions, estimated sew time, and pricing estimate.
  • Design gallery — keep all your designs organized in one place with thumbnail previews.
  • Design Shot — export a clean photo of your design in PNG or JPG.
  • PDF Worksheets — generate a professional design worksheet with color table, stats, and notes. Perfect for clients or production notes.
  • Export to all formats — convert designs between embroidery formats.
  • GIF export — animated stitch-out preview you can share directly.
